A Few Days in September is witty and clever, but there is a serious point behind it - with which Binoche is more than a little obsessed. She describes it as a dramatised version of the events depicted in Michael Moore’s documentary Fahrenheit 9/11. It alleges that various vested interests - including state security services around the world - knew what was about to happen on September 11, 2001. While preparing for the role Binoche had long conversations with a secret agent, who consulted on the film and on whom she modeled her character.
Of course he could not reveal everything to me, but he said a lot. Some things I forgot because it was just too much. Certain things I was very amazed by and when I told people close to me about them they just wouldn’t believe it. Everything in there is true,
she adds, her eyes blazing with the fervor of a conspiracy theorist. So is she saying the film is a dramatization of real events?
Absolutely. I went to see the Iranian ambassador at the time and he said of course it’s true. Things that I thought were hidden and private … they were very open about it.
So she means the CIA and other agencies knew 9/11 was going to happen?
Of course.
So is she saying it was an inside job? Or that al-Qaeda was responsible?
Everybody is responsible for it. If you only knew more, it’s even more depressing.

We’re not the conspiracy theorists on this particular issue. It seems to me like 19 amateurs with box cutters taking four commercial airliners and hitting 75% of their targets - that feels like a conspiracy theory.
I saw the South Tower hit live, that famous wide shot where it disappears behind the building and then we see the tremendous fireball. And there was just — there was a feeling that it just didn’t look, how do I say this, it didn’t look like any commercial jetliner I’ve flown on any time in my life.
And then when the buildings came down later on that day I was with my brother and I said “Hey, call me insane but did it sort of look like those buildings came down in a controlled demolition?”

Show us this incredible maneuvering, just show it to us. Just show us how this particular pair pulled off these maneuvers. What was it - a 270-degree turn at 500 miles per hour, descending 7,000 feet in two and a half minutes, skimming across treetops, the last 500 meters four feet off the ground.

It would seem to me that upon the revelation of that news that the Secret Service would grab the president and remove him as if he was on fire from that room.

And I’m sure I’m being demonized across the nation by, you know, all of the people that do that sort of thing.
Sheen described the climate of acceptance for serious discussion about 9/11 as being far more fertile than it was a couple of years ago.

I recently had the pleasure of sitting down with our 44th President of the United States of America, Barack Hussein Obama, while he was out promoting his health care reform initiative. I requested 30 minutes given the scope and detail of my inquiry; they said I could have 20. Twenty minutes, 1200 seconds, not a lot of time to question the President about one of the most important events in our nation’s history. The following is a transcript of our remarkable discussion.
Charlie Sheen – Good afternoon Mr. President, thank you so much for taking time out of your demanding schedule.
President Barack Obama – My pleasure, the content of your request seemed like something I should carve out a few minutes for.
CS – I should point out that I voted for you, as your promises of hope and change, transparency and accountability, as well as putting government back into the hands of the American people, struck an emotional chord in me that I hadn’t felt in quite some time, perhaps ever.
PBO – And I appreciate that Charlie. Big fan of the show, by the way.
CS – Sir, I can’t imagine when you might find the time to actually watch my show given the measure of what you inherited.
PBO – I have it Tivo’d on Air Force One. Nice break from the traveling press corps. (He glances at his watch) not to be abrupt or to rush you, but you have 19 minutes left.
CS – I’ll take that as an invitation to cut to the chase.
PBO – I’m all ears. Or so I’ve been told.
CS – Sir, in the very near future we will be experiencing our first 9/11 anniversary with you as Commander in Chief.
PBO – Yes. A very solemn day for our Nation. A day of reflection and yet a day of historical consciousness as well.
CS – Very much so sir, very much so indeed…. Now; In researching your position regarding the events of 9/11 and the subsequent investigation that followed, am I correct to understand that you fully support and endorse the findings of the commission report otherwise known as the ‘official story’?
PBO – Do I have any reason not to? Given that most of us are presumably in touch with similar evidence.
CS – I really wish that were the case, sir. Are you aware, Mr. President, of the recent stunning revelations that sixty percent of the 9/11 commissioners have publicly stated that the government agreed not to tell the truth about 9/11 and that the Pentagon was engaged in deliberate deception about their response to the attack?
PBO – I am aware of certain “in fighting” during the course of their very thorough and tireless investigative process.
CS – Mr. President, it’s hard to label this type of friction as “in fighting” or make the irresponsible leap to “thorough”, when the evidence I insist you examine regarding 6 of the 10 members are statements of fact.
(At this point one of Obama’s senior aides approaches the President and whispers into his ear. Obama glances quickly at his watch and nods as the aide resumes his post at the doorway, directly behind me.)
PBO – No disrespect Mr. Sheen, but I have to ask; what is it that you seem to be implying with the initial direction of this discussion?
CS – I am not implying anything Mr. President. I am here to present the facts and see what you plan to do with them.
PBO – Let me guess; your ‘facts’, allegedly supporting these claims are in the folders you brought with you?
CS – Good guess Mr. President.
(I hand the first folder of documents to the President)
CS – Again sir, these are not my opinions or assumptions, this is all a matter of public record, reported through mainstream media, painstakingly fact checked and verified.
(the President glances into the folder I handed him)
CS – You’ll notice sir on page one of the dossier dated August of ‘06 from the Washington Post, the statements of John Farmer, senior council to the 9/11 commission, his quote stating
I was shocked how different the truth was from the way it was described.
PBO – (as he glances down at the report, almost inaudible) …. um hmm….
CS – He goes on to further state
The [NORAD Air Defense] tapes told a radically different story from what had been told to us and the public for two years….
(the President continues to view the documents)
CS – On pages two and three, sir, are the statements, as well, from commission co-chairmen Thomas Kean and Lee Hamilton, commissioners Bob Kerrey, Timothy Roemer and John Lehman, as well as the statements of commissioner Max Cleland, an ex-Senator from Georgia , who resigned, stating:
It is a national scandal. This investigation is now compromised. One of these days we will have to get the full story because the 9/11 issue is so important to America. But this White House wants to cover it up.
He also described President Bush’s desire to delay the process as not to damage the ‘04 re-election bid. They suspected deception to the point where they considered referring the matter to the Justice Department for criminal investigation. Mr. President, this information alone is unequivocally grounds for a new investigation!
PBO – Mistakes were clearly made but we as a people and as a country need to move forward. It is obviously in our best interest as a democratic society to focus our efforts and our resources on the future of this great nation and our ability to protect the American people and our allies from this type of terrorism in the coming years.
CS – Sir, how can we focus on the future when THE COMMISSION ITSELF is on record stating that they still do not know the truth??
PBO – Even if what you state, might in some capacity, begin to approach an open discussion or balanced debate, I can’t speak for, or about the decisions certain commission members made during an extremely difficult period. Perhaps you should be interviewing them instead of me. Wait, don’t tell me; I was easier to track down than they were?
CS – Not exactly sir, but let’s be honest. You’re the President of the United States, the leader of the free world, the buck stops with you. 9/11 has been the pretext for the systematic dismantling of our Constitution and Bill of Rights. Your administration is reading from the same playbook that the Bush administration foisted on America through documented secrecy and deception.
PBO – Mr. Sheen, I’m having a difficult time sitting here and listening to you draw distorted parallels between the Bush/Cheney regime and mine.
CS – Mr. President the parallels are not distorted just because you say they are. Let’s stick to the facts. You promised to abolish the Patriot Act and then voted to re-authorize it. You pledged to end warrantless wire tapping against the American people and now energetically defend it. You decried the practice of rendition and now continue it. You promised over and over again on the campaign trail, that you would end the practice of indefinite detention and instead, you have expanded it to permanent detention of “detainees” without trial. This far exceeds the outrages of the former administration. Call me crazy Mr. President, but is this not your record?
PBO – Mr. Sheen, my staff and I authorized this interview based on your request to discuss 9/11 and deliver some additional information you’re convinced I’d not previously reviewed. Call me crazy, But it appears as though you’ve blindly wandered off topic.
CS – Sir, the examples I just illustrated are a direct result of 9/11.
PBO – And I’m telling you that we must move forward, we must endure through these dangerous and politically challenging years ahead.
CS – Mr. President, we cannot move forward with a bottomless warren of unanswered questions surrounding that day and its aftermath.
PBO – I read the official report. Every word every page. Perhaps you should do the same.
CS –I have sir, and so have thousands of family members of the victims, and guess what; they have the same questions I do and probably a lot more. I didn’t lose a loved one on that horrific day Mr. President and neither did you. But since then I, along with millions of other Americans lost something we held true and dear for most of our lives in this great country of ours; we lost our hope.
PBO – And I’d like to believe that I am here to restore that hope. To restore confidence in your leaders, in the system that the voting public chose through a peaceful transfer of power.
(An odd moment of silence between us. Precious time ticking away).
CS – Mr. President, are you aware of the number of days it took to begin the investigation into JFK’s assassination?
PBO – If memory serves I believe it was two weeks.
CS – Close. Seventeen days to be exact. Are you aware sir, how long it took to begin the investigation into Pearl Harbor?
PBO – I would say again about….two weeks.
CS – Close again sir, eleven days to be exact. Are you aware Mr. President how long it took to begin the investigation into 9/11?
PBO – I know it must have seemed like a very long time for all the grieving families.
CS – It was a very long time Mr. President – four hundred and forty days. Roughly 14 months. Does it bother you Mr. President that it only took FIVE HOURS for Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld after the initial attack to recommend and endorse a full scale offensive against Iraq?
PBO – I am not aware of any such purported claim.
CS – I have the proof Mr. President, along with scores of documents and facts I’d like you to take a look at. Here.
(I hand him another file – much thicker than the first)
PBO – I see you came prepared Charlie.
CS – No other way to show up Mr. President. When in doubt over prepare I always say.
PBO – Now you sound like the First Lady.
CS – That’s quite a compliment sir.
PBO – As you wish. Please continue.
CS – Sir, I’d like to direct your attention to the stack of documents in the folder I just handed you. The first in from the top is entitled “Operation Northwoods”, a declassified Pentagon plan to stage terror attacks on US soil, to be blamed on Cuba as a pretext for war.
PBO – And I’d like to direct your attention to the fact that the principle draftsman of this improbable blueprint was quickly denied a second term as Joint Chiefs chairman and sent packing to a European NATO garrison. Thank God his otherworldly ambitions never saw the light of day.
CS – I wouldn’t be so certain about that Mr. President.
PBO – I could easily say the same to you Charlie.
(the President checks his watch)
CS – The next document reads “Declassified staged provocations”. Now, Honestly Mr. President I wish I was making this stuff up. I’m certain you are familiar with the USS Maine Incident, the sinking of the Lusitania, which we all now know brought us into WW1, and of course the most famous, the Gulf of Tonkin incident.
PBO – Of course I am familiar with these historical events and I’m aware that there’s a measure of controversy surrounding them. But to be quite frank with you, this is all ancient history.

CS – Mr. President, it has been often said: “Those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it.” And I concede to you sir, these events are the past.
PBO – A vastly different world young man, shouldering a radically disparate state of universal affairs.
CS – No argument sir, I’m merely inviting you to acknowledge some credibility to the pattern or the theme. Case in point; the next document in your folder. It was published by the think-tank, Project For a New American Century and it’s entitled “Rebuilding Americas Defenses”, and was written by Dick Cheney and Jeb Bush. To quote from the document sir – (the President interrupts)
PBO – “Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor.”
CS – Touche, sir. Your thoughts on this statement Mr. President?
PBO – I would call this a blatant case of misjudgment fueled by an unfortunate milieu of assumption. For some, the uninformed denial of coincidence.
CS – Interesting angle sir. Nevertheless, Vice President Cheney didn’t stop there. In early 2008, Pulitzer prize winning journalist Seymour Hersh and MSNBC [both links are now dead], both reported that Cheney had proposed to the Pentagon an outrageous plan to have the U.S. Navy create fake Iranian patrol boats, to be manned by Navy Seals, who would then stage an attack on US destroyers in the Strait of Hormuz. This event was to be blamed on Iran and used as a pretext for war. Does any of this information worry you Mr. President? Should we just ignore it, until these realities can be dismissed years from now by our children, as ancient history as well?
PBO – Of course this information worries me, yet it’s not nearly as worrisome as you sitting here today suspiciously implying that 9/11 was somehow allowed to happen or even orchestrated from the inside.
CS – Mr. President I am not suspiciously implying anything. I am merely exposing the documents and asking the questions that nobody in power will even look at or acknowledge. And as I stated earlier, I voted for you, I believed in your message of hope and change. Mr. President I have come to you specifically hoping for a change. A change in the perception that our government has not yet made itself open and accountable to the people. These are your words Mr. President not mine. The lives of thousands were brutally cut short and those left behind to suffer their infinite pain are with me today Mr. President. They are with me in spirit and flesh, and the message we carry will not be silenced anymore by media fueled mantras insisting how they are supposed to feel. Deciding for them, for 8 long years, what can be thought, what can be said, what can be asked.
PBO – And I appreciate your passion, I appreciate your conviction. In spite of your concerns, in spite of what your data might or might not reveal, what you and the families must understand and accept is that we are doing everything we can to protect you.
CS – Mr. President , I realize were very short on time, so please allow me to run down a list of bullet points that might illuminate some reasons why we don’t embrace the warm hug of Federal protection.
PBO – We’ve come this far. Fire away.
CS – Please keep in mind Mr. President everything I’m about to say is documented as fact and part of the public record. The information you are holding in your hands chronicles and verifies each and every point.
PBO – You have five minutes left. The floor is yours. Brief me.
CS – Thank you Mr. President. [Okay, first; On the FBI’s most wanted list](Okay, first; On the FBI’s most wanted list) Osama Bin Laden is not charged with the crimes of 911. When I called the FBI to ask them why this was the case, they replied: “There’s not enough evidence to link Bin Laden to the crime scene.” I later discovered he had never even been indicted by the D.O.J.
CS – Number 2; FBI translator Sibel Edmonds, was dismissed and gagged by the D.O.J. after she revealed that the government had foreknowledge of plans to attack American cities using planes as bombs as early as April 2001. In July of ‘09, Mrs. Edmonds broke the Federal gag order and went public to reveal that Osama Bin Laden, Al Qaeda and the Taliban were all working for and with the C.I.A. up until the day of 9/11.
CS – Number 3; The following is a quote from Mayor Giuliani during an interview on 9/11 with Peter Jennings for ABC News. “I went down to the scene and we set up headquarters at 75 Barkley Street, which was right there with the Police Commissioner, the Fire Commissioner, the Head of Emergency Management, and we were operating out of there when we were told that the World Trade Center was going to collapse. And it did collapse before we could actually get out of the building, so we were trapped in the building for 10, 15 minutes, and finally found an exit and got out, walked north, and took a lot of people with us.”
WHO TOLD HIM THIS??? To this day, the answer to this question remains unanswered, completely ignored and emphatically DENIED by Mayor Giuliani on several public occasions.
CS – Number 4; In April 2004, USA Today reported, “In the two years before the Sept. 11 attacks, the North American Aerospace Defense Command conducted exercises simulating what the White House says was unimaginable at the time: hijacked airliners used as weapons to crash into targets and cause mass casualties.” One of the targets was the World Trade Center.
CS – Number 5; On September 12th 2007, CNN’s ‘Anderson Cooper 360′, reported that the mysterious “white plane” spotted and videotaped by multiple media outlets, flying in restricted airspace over the White House shortly before 10am on the morning of 9/11, was in fact the Air Force’s E-4B, a specially modified Boeing 747 with a communications pod behind the cockpit; otherwise known as “The Doomsday Plane”.
Though fully aware of the event, the 9/11 Commission did not deem the appearance of the military plane to be of any interest and did not include it in the final 9/11 Commission report.
CS – Number 6; Three F-16s assigned to Andrews Air Force Base, ten miles from Washington, DC, are conducting training exercises in North Carolina 207 miles away as the first plane crashes into the WTC. Even at significantly less than their top speed of 1500 mph, they could still have defended the skies over Washington well before 9am, more than 37 minutes before Flight 77 crashes into the Pentagon, however, they did not return until after 9:55am.
Andrews AFB had no armed fighters on alert and ready to take off on the morning of 9/11.
CS – Number 7; WTC Building 7. Watch the video of its collapse.
CS – Number 8; Flight 93 is fourth plane to crash on 9/11 at 10:03am. V.P. Cheney only gives shoot down order at 10:10-10:20am and this is not communicated to NORAD until 28 minutes after Flight 93 has crashed.
Fueling further suspicion on this front is the fact that three months before the attacks of 9/11, Dick Cheney usurped control of NORAD, and therefore he, and no one else on planet Earth, had the power to call for military sorties on the hijacked airliners on 9/11. He did not exercise that power. Three months after 9/11, he relinquished command of NORAD and returned it to military operation.
CS – Number 9; Scores of main stream news outlets reported that the F.B.I. conducted an investigation of at least FIVE of the 9/11 hijackers being trained at U.S. military flight schools. Those investigations are now sealed and need to be declassified.
CS – Number 10; In 2004, New York firefighters Mike Bellone and Nicholas DeMasi went public to say they had found the black boxes at the World Trade Center, but were told to keep their mouths shut by FBI agents. Nicholas DeMasi said that he escorted federal agents on an all-terrain vehicle in October 2001 and helped them locate the devices, a story backed up by rescue volunteer Mike Bellone.
As the Philadelphia Daily News reported at the time
Their story raises the question of whether there was a some type of cover-up at Ground Zero.
CS – Number 11 – Hundreds of eye witnesses including first responders, fire captains, news reporters, and police, all described multiple explosions in both towers before and during the collapse.
CS – Number 12; An astounding video uncovered from the archives shows BBC News correspondent Jane Standley reporting on the collapse of WTC Building 7 over twenty minutes before it fell at 5:20pm on the afternoon of 9/11. Tapes from earlier BBC broadcasts show news anchors discussing the collapse of WTC 7 a full 26 minutes in advance. The BBC at first claimed that their tapes from 9/11 had been “lost” before admitting that they made the “error” of reporting the collapse of WTC 7 before it happened without adequately explaining how they could have obtained advance knowledge of the event.
In addition, over an hour before the collapse of WTC 7, at 4:10pm, CNN’s Aaron Brown reported that the building “has either collapsed, or is collapsing”.
CS – Number 13; Solicitor General Ted Olson’s claim that his wife Barbara Olsen called him twice from Flight 77, describing hijackers with box cutters, was a central plank of the official 9/11 story.
However, the credibility of the story was completely undermined after Olsen kept changing his story about whether his wife used her cell phone or the airplane phone. The technology to enable cell phone calls from high-altitude airline flights was not created until 2004. American Airlines confirmed that Flight 77 was a Boeing 757 and that this plane did not have airplane phones on board.
According to the FBI, Barbara Olsen attempted to call her husband only once and the call failed to connect, therefore Olsen must have been lying when he claimed he had spoken to his wife from Flight 77.
CS – Number 14; The size of a Boeing 757 is approximately 125ft in width and yet images of the impact zone at the Pentagon supposedly caused by the crash merely show a hole no more than 16ft in diameter. The engines of the 757 would have punctured a hole bigger than this, never mind the whole plane. Images before the partial collapse of the impact zone show little real impact damage and a sparse debris field completely inconsistent with the crash of a large jetliner, especially when contrasted with other images showing airplane crashes into buildings.
CS – Number 15; What is the meaning behind the following quote attributed to Dick Cheney which came to light during the 9/11 Commission hearings? The passage is taken from testimony given by then Secretary of Transportation Norman Mineta.
During the time that the airplane was coming in to the Pentagon, there was a young man who would come in and say to the Vice President, “The plane is 50 miles out.” “The plane is 30 miles out.” And when it got down to “the plane is 10 miles out,” the young man also said to the Vice President, “Do the orders still stand?” And the Vice President turned and whipped his neck around and said, “Of course the orders still stand. Have you heard anything to the contrary?”
As the plane was not shot down, in addition to the fact that armed fighter jets were nowhere near the plane and the Pentagon defensive system was not activated, are we to take it that the orders were to let the plane find its target?
CS – Number 16; In May 2003, the Miami Herald reported how the Bush administration was refusing to release a 900-page congressional report on 9/11 because it wanted to “avoid enshrining embarrassing details in the report,” particularly regarding pre-9/11 warnings as well as the fact that the hijackers were trained at U.S. flight schools.
CS – Number 17; Top Pentagon officials cancelled their scheduled flights for September 11th on September 10th. San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown, following a security warning, cancelled a flight into New York that was scheduled for the morning of 9/11.
CS – Number 18; The technology to enable cell phone calls from high-altitude airline flights was not created until 2004, and even by that point it was only in the trial phase. Calls from cell phones which formed an integral part of the official government version of events were technologically impossible at the time.
CS – Number 19; On April 29, 2004, President Bush and V.P. Cheney would only meet with the commission under specific clandestine conditions. They insisted on testifying together and not under oath. They also demanded that their testimony be treated as a matter of “state secret.” To date, nothing they spoke of that day exists in the public domain.
CS – And finally Mr. President – Number 20; A few days after the attack, several newspapers as well as the FBI reported that a paper passport had been found in the ruins of the WTC. In August 2004, CNN reported that 9/11 hijacker Ziad Jarrah’s visa was found in the remains of Flight 93 which went down in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
At least a third of the WTC victim’s bodies were vaporized and many of the victims of the Pentagon incident were burned beyond recognition. And yet visas and paper passports which identify the perpetrators and back up the official version of events miraculously survive explosions and fires that we are told melted steel buildings.
(The Senior aide appears again beside the President whispering in his ear. He then quickly moves off).
PBO – Well Charlie I can’t say this hasn’t been interesting. As I said earlier you’ve showed up today focused and organized. Regardless how I feel about the material you’ve presented, I must commend your dedication and zeal. However, our time here is up.
(the President rises from his chair , I do the same).
CS – Mr. President! One more second!
(The President starts towards the door – I follow him quickly step for step).
CS – Mr. President, I implore you based on the evidence you now possess, to use your Executive Power. Prove to us all Sir, that you do, in fact, care. Create a truly comprehensive and open Congressional investigation of 9/11 and its aftermath. The families deserve the truth, the American people and the rest of the free world deserve the truth. Mr. President -
(He pauses. We shake hands).
CS – Make sure you’re on the right side of history.
(The President breaks the handshake).
PBO – I am on the right side of history. Thank you Charlie, my staff and I will be in touch.
(I watch as he strides gracefully out of the room, the truth I provided him held firmly by his side; in the hand of providence.)

I know he had some serious questions, and I think all of us should be inquisitive about that. We should know what really happened. I don’t know. There are some very troubling unanswered questions, and I think that’s all Charlie is wanting to explore. So I support that.

Then, however, there’s been so many revelations that now I have my doubts and chief among them is the Building Seven. How did they rig that building so that it came down on the evening of the day?
Interviewer: Are you familiar with the Larry Silverstein statement to ‘pull it’…?
Yeah. ‘Pull it’. How convenient. When did they rig that building? Why? [laughs] That’s the most interesting question and I have not received a satisfactory answer. If somebody could give me an answer for how you rigged that building and then bring it down on the day. That’s the one thing that I have not gotten a satisfactory answer from anyone.

I think if that’s what he thinks then he has every right to say that. I think people should say whatever it is that they feel in their heart, and I think it’s those who stand up and say their beliefs and challenge them in the face of authority that allows people to investigate and look for — look at what’s happening. I think you have to be brave enough to say how you feel and stand in the face of authority and say it. That’s why we have freedom of speech.

We were asking the question, “Charlie Sheen speaks out; do you agree there is a government cover-up of 9/11?” More than 53,000 of you voted in our online poll. You’re looking at the results right there. Eighty-three percent of you agreed and said yes; 17 percent of you said no.
Among the many e-mails we received and continue to receive on the subject we heard from Sonny from California who wrote, “I am so proud of Charlie Sheen for saying what so many of us are aware of. It is time to get the truth out there.”
We also heard from Kathy in Michigan who writes, “I am frightened that people actually agree with Mr. Sheen. The reality of 9/11 was seen on live national television.”
Kathy definitely in the minority among the e-mails we’ve received. And we’re going to be reading some more of your thoughts on Charlie Sheen’s statements coming up a bit later in tonight’s show.

I am reading a book now called The New Pearl Harbor by David Ray Griffin. I’ve been stuck in the position of ignoring my gut — knowing things don’t stack up. Even though our government obviously took advantage of 9/11 by making it their ‘Reichstag’. I told myself, “Surely they weren’t involved.”
After reading this book I can’t doubt that our government was at least complicit in allowing 9/11 to happen. Get a copy and pass it to all your friends, the evidence is irrefutable.

And though I did not lose a close family member in 9/11, one of my best friends did lose someone very, very dear to them and to this day it has affected their family quite deeply with a lot of emotional stress. And there is no picture op that is going to take care of the wounds that so many of us feel around the issues of 9/11.
What do you hope that will happen as a result of the 9/11 Truth Movement? Another investigation? The impeachment of Bush and Cheney? Stopping another 9/11? What’s most important for you?
I hope that people will continue to reach out into their communities and educate them about the truth and that people will never be discouraged in finding that truth, no matter how many walls they come up against, no matter how many barricades they come up against. People will always try to stop you especially when you’re getting to a deeper truth.

Interviewer: There also are conspiracy theories of huge proportions. And you suggested we show part of or a clip of the documentary Loose Change by Dylan Avery. And it was a film that has been watched by 10 million viewers because you could see it through the Internet, no charge. The film sums up in a way all the theories about US government having planned the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center But let’s first watch it. What do you think? Do you think it’s convincing what they tell in the film?
David Lynch: It’s not so much what they say. It’s the things that — you know — make you look at what you thought you saw in a different light. And those things for me that bother me: is the hole in the Pentagon being too small for a plane; the lawn isn’t mussed up; and the government’s not showing the plane hitting, when many cameras photographed it.
At the World Trade Center, three buildings came down like demolition. And two of them were hit by a plane, but the third one [WTC 7] they said, “Do you want us to pull it?” And they pulled it and it looked just like the other two. Those things bother me.
In Pennsylvania, the plane that went down, it was just a hole in the ground. There wasn’t any wreckage. There wasn’t any skid marks. There wasn’t any tear in the earth. And no one’s ever really found out about that. So, every place there’s questions coming from this documentary. And you don’t have to believe everything in the documentary to still have questions come up.

Interviewer: And the suggestion that the American government is behind it, what does it mean?
It’s too big for people to think about. It’s too big. It’s like, you know, something no one wants to think about.

I’ll tell you a story. I was close friends with the Rockefeller family. Some months before 9/11 happened, someone close to the family told me there was going to be an event. He never said what the event was going to be. The effect of the event, however, was that the American government was going to invade Afghanistan and we were going to go into Iraq, take over the oil fields and establish a base in the Middle East to be part of the New World Order. Then we were going after Chavez in Venezuela to get his oil.
He told me that almost a year before 9/11 ever happened. They have succeeded in the first two. They didn’t succeed with Chavez, but they succeeded in Afghanistan and Iraq.
The people who control the money in this country control everything. He who makes the money makes the rule.

FBI: Bin Laden Not Wanted for 9/11?
Fun little article where Rex Tomb of the FBI says the reason Bin Laden was never listed as being wanted on the FBI web page for 911 is “because the FBI has no hard evidence connecting Bin Laden to 9/11”.
And just to point out one final thing on this subject… the official 911 report states that 911 was perpetrated by at least 19 hijackers working for a millionaire who heads a terrorist organization that the State Department says operates in 73 countries. This, itself, is a massive conspiracy theory. Right?
As a matter of pure logic, the fun part about this bin laden debate is that given the mujahideen’s established historical origins being tied to the CIA, and Bin Laden’s own specific family connections to the power elite of the US, even if you had video of him gift wrapping box cutters and airline tickets, it would not disprove higher involvement by a state.
… As far as 911 goes, half of the 911 commissioners themselves are on record as stating that we don’t have the full story and that Norad lied to them for years, and they still don’t know why. I’ve had a number of firefighters tell me over the years and since Fahrenheit 9/11 that they heard these explosions — that they believe there’s MUCH more to the story than we’ve been told. I don’t think the official investigations have told us the complete truth — they haven’t even told us half the truth.
I’ve filmed there before down at the Pentagon — before 9/11 — there’s got to be at least 100 cameras, ringing that building, in the trees, everywhere. They’ve got that plane coming in with 100 angles. How come we haven’t seen the straight — I’m not talking about stop-action photos, I’m talking about the video. I want to see the video. I want to see 100 videos that exist of this.

What had happened, Carol, to me was that I had wanted to make a documentary on the United States Presidency. And at the time I decided I wanted to make that film, George Bush was just entering his first term.
So, I wanted to do a documentary that showed the backstage view of the Presidency; how it operated; how the people around him operated to make his office of the President function. It’s very - it’s a brilliant office, you know, if you have the right person in there who is living up to the ideals and morals that the office demands and leads the country in the way that it should be led.
So, I started to call the White House, and the Secret Service, and some Senators. And I got a lot of people involved in the film. And I went to Washington with my partner, Marianne [Quinn], and we made the film. …
And it was very successful. I even did a school tour on it later on. Toured the country, showed the film talking about what it was like to work in the White House with all these people who played such a big part in history during their President’s reign, whoever they were working for. It was a wonderful film to make. I totally enjoyed it. And I did it out of pure patriotism. I thought the office of the Presidency was great. I still do.
And we went, of course, to Washington to make the film. We were there for many months doing this. And on 9/11, we had just began — We decided to do our post-production in Washington DC because I had been promised a sit-down interview with the President three times. It was always cancelled. So I said “Let’s do the post-production in Washington, that way when the White House calls, I’ll still be here and I can go over and do the interview.”
Well, 9/11 happened on the very first day that we started to do our post-production. And, of course, that took care of thinking about doing any interviews with the President at that time.
But on 9/12, my partner and I, Marianne, went over to the Pentagon. And I said, “We’re not going to be able to get near this. We’ll just get to drive by as close as we can. I just wanted to see it.”
Well, we got closer than I ever thought. We parked on top of the hill where this apartment building was and we walked down to right at the edge of the freeway. And right across the freeway was the Pentagon — the crash site.
So, I’m standing there looking at it and I’m quiet. And I didn’t say anything. And — I don’t know after a little while — I was in shock. And I turned to Marianne and I said, “Something’s really wrong here.” She said, “What?” And I said, “Well.” I said, “Everything. The grass isn’t scorched. There’s no big hole where this would have impacted. How come there’s all these trees still up? Lampposts where they shouldn’t be are still up.”
The ground wasn’t torn up. Not one bit. The opening where the 757 allegedly hit was ridiculously small. There was no debris of any sort. Nothing. There was nothing there.
And I said, “How could a 757 have crashed into this building?” I said, “It’s impossible.” I said, “In the first place, we shouldn’t even be allowed to be here. This should be all blocked off as a crime scene, looking for evidence, pieces of the plane.” I said, “Nothing makes sense.” …
A few days later, I thought, “Wait a minute here. If the Pentagon was a hoax and a 757 didn’t plow into that as they said it did, that whole thing was preconceived. All of the Pentagon was. And that would have had to have meant that New York was pre-planned with the same sort of deception that Washington was.”

Bigard is a close friend of former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, whom he accompanied on an official visit to Pope Benedict XVI in Rome.
One of France’s most successful stand-up comedians and a close friend of President Nicolas Sarkozy has sparked outrage by becoming the latest French star to question the official account of the September 11 attacks.
In an embarrassment to the French President, and with just two days to go before the seventh anniversary of the deadly terrorist strikes, Jean-Marie Bigard - a member of Mr Sarkozy’s inner circle of showbiz friends - said the official version was a “lie”.
We are now absolutely certain that these two planes - the one that supposedly fell into a forest (flight 93 in Pennsylvania) and onto the Pentagon don’t exist… those planes are still flying. It’s an enormous lie. It’s an American missile that hit the Pentagon. They provoked it themselves. They killed fellow Americans. Usually one learns of these things 30 years afterwards. We know it now.
Mr Bigard, who has staged shows to a full house in Paris’s football stadium, Stade de France, added:
We are beginning to seriously consider that neither Ben Laden nor al Qaeda were responsible for September 11.
He cited the controversial 2002 bestseller L’Effroyable Imposture (The Big Lie) by Frenchman Thierry Meyssan, which claimed the Pentagon crash was a “fake”, as well as the hit internet conspiracy film Loose Change.

Europe 1 has issued an apology but Mr Bigard said he stood by his words. The crude and scatological comic, whose humour travels poorly, was one of several celebrity friends Mr Sarkozy took with him to meet the Pope late last year, as he is a devout Catholic.
He is the second French star to accuse America of fabricating the 9/11 attacks.
In March, the Oscar-winning French actress Marion Cotillard angered Americans with a similar conspiracy theory on a chat show.
The 32-year-old, who won a BAFTA award for her portrayal of Edith Piaf in La Vie en Rose, had said that the US regularly lied about major events, up to and including the terrorist attacks on New York.
“I think we’re lied to about a number of things,” [s]he said, … claiming the Americans had destroyed the Twin Towers themselves because they were an outdated “money sucker”.
She later was forced into an embarrassing climb-down, with her lawyer saying she “never intended to contest nor question the attacks of September 11, 2001”, and that her remarks were taken out of context.

After one of France’s most famous stand-up comedians apologized for claiming the 9/11 terrorist attacks were an “enormous lie”, Monsieur Bigard details the aftermath which resulted from his infamous appearance on the Europe 1 Radio Show by appearing on the Grand Journal television show.
Invited by Michel Denisot to talk about his role in Clérambard, which opened September 16th, 2008, at the Théâtre Hébertot, Jean-Marie Bigard returns once again to the subject of September 11th.
He details how he endured violent accusations of ‘revisionism’ and ‘denial’ from several newspapers including Le Canard Enchaîné and Charlie Hebdo, which resulted in an onslaught of hate mail and death threats. He states how he has never “denied 9/11”, referring to a headline used the very next day after he appeared on the Europe 1 radio show but, like how millions of people all over the world, and millions from even the US alone, he is sceptical of the official government version of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Jean-Marie Bigard also tells us of how the host, Laurent Ruquier, was ready to invite him back onto his show, but that the management of Europe 1 let him know this was undesirable.
Toward the end of the he points out the fact that merely $15 million was allocated to the 9/11 Commission to investigate the most murderous terrorist attack ever committed on American soil, in stark contrast to the $42 million spent to investigate Bill Clinton’s sexual escapades.
Monsieur Bigard maintains that only a new investigation into the tragic events of September 11th, 2001 could respond to his doubts which he shares with millions of people around the world.
I’m very sceptical, and believe me there are an enormous amount of people from all over the world who are also very sceptical. And if there is ever a day when could discuss all this, it surely shouldn’t be with a loud-mouth comic like me, but with specialists, architects, scientists, transportation secretaries — only people qualified in their field.

Jason Bermas: What do you think some of the biggest inconsistencies of the official version are?
Tommy Chong: Well, the biggest inconsistency is the fact that, “Who was allowed to fly after everything was shut down?” It was the Bin Ladens. …
Tommy Chong: The powers that be, they’re perverting justice. And we get outraged because we believe in the Constitution and all that. But there was even reports about Pearl Harbor being a setup. At least they knew that it was coming and they could have done a lot more than what they did to stop it. But they needed a Pearl Harbor in order to launch the bigger war and that was the same as 9/11. It it wasn’t for 9/11, we wouldn’t have had Bush in the White House.
Jason Bermas: I agree with you there. And then you have the Project for a New American Century, which is this neocon think tank, including Cheney and Wolfowitz, and people like Dan Quayle where they actually call for this “New Pearl Harbor” in a document called Rebuilding America’s Defenses, only three months before the [11 September 2001 attacks] where they say they need it in order to transform the Middle East or Eurasia.
Tommy Chong: Yeah, yeah, and it’s all to subvert and to get the national — to get the oil, to get their hands on the oil.

There are some people I work with that I think are upset about my talking about 9/11 and thinking that it was an inside job and, you know, they’re worried about my career and worried about what’s going to happen and things like that.
I don’t think people really want to really take in the reality that our government could do us harm. I think that’s the thing. It’s really just a matter of taking in that reality.
I think we want to look at our government as sort of like a benevolent father that’s going to take care of us and be kind to us and treat us well and I think it’s just too much for people to even conceptualize and I’m sure that’s what happened to people in Nazi Germany.

Things just weren’t adding up. For me it’s really hard to say, John, what’s the exact sort of epiphany that I had where I just realized that it was the government that did harm to its own people. But I think maybe what a deciding one was when my dentist sent me a link to Loose Change [11 September 2001 documentary] and when I saw that, everything that I feared or everything that I intuitively felt was confirmed by watching Loose Change.
John Connor: You suspected?
Yeah. Um hmm.
John Connor: Christine, if we were friends and you had never approached me about this subject, if I was still an ignorant zombie, how would you go about educating me? What would you say?
I’d ask about World Trade Center number 7. Number one, I think that’s really to me that’s the most obvious blunder. Because Silverstein [WTC leaseholder] said publicly that we had talked with the fire department and we felt that World Trade Center 7 was so badly damaged that we decided to take it down. Or take it out. Take it out, I guess that’s the term that’s used for controlled demolition. Now you cannot put controlled demolition devices in a building in an afternoon. That’s just not possible. So, how do you — Of course they never even mention that. Then they talk about the Twin Towers collapsing. That’s never even mentioned. It’s never even brought up in the Report, the 9/11 Commission Report. So, to me — How do you explain that?

Became popular among the African-American communities in the southern United States with his “no-holds-barred” sets, poking fun at the bigotry and racism in the United States. In 1961 he became a staple in the comedy clubs, appeared on television, and released comedy record albums.
But, for Dick Gregory, who has spent much of his life speaking and writing about the ways in which he believes the government has conspired against Americans – particularly African-Americans – it is more absurd to dismiss the questions still swirling around a tragedy that left nearly 3,000 Americans dead:
You have to ask yourself some simple questions, like how is it that Morgan Bush [Marvin], the president’s younger brother, owned the company that was in charge of security for the World Trade Center, yet it has never appeared in The New York Times?
The Times and most other major U.S. papers have CIA agents working as reporters, he says.

If you look at the large white cloud that resulted from the collapse of the Twin Towers, you’ll notice that people’s faces are covered in white powder, which some have said is asbestos. Asbestos has been outlawed for many years. They used dynamite to blow those buildings up, which turned that concrete into dust like a woman’s face powder. Then they took all the debris and shipped it to China so you couldn’t examine it.
Something is not right, but there are too many scientists involved now, and too many of them are asking serious questions. Little by little the truth is getting out. There is a limit on how much information you can keep bottled up.

It was so painful for me as my wife Lil and I watched the events of September 11, 2001 on television. Seeing a plane hit the World Trade Center (WTC) North Tower at 8:46, then a second plane hit the South Tower at 9:02. Shortly, we saw the firefighters and other first responders courageously going into the buildings hoping to extinguish the fires, but it was impossible to foresee what followed.
Then we watched in shock as nearly a dozen people were jumping from the upper floors to their deaths.
We felt profound horror at 9:59 as the South Tower cascaded in freefall into its own footprint, and then 29 minutes later when the North Tower came down in the same impossible freefall way.
The new forensic evidence which is being released today by Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth demonstrates the presence of controlled demolition materiel in the World Trade Center buildings One and Two.

One thing I know is that the official government story of those events, as well as what took place that day at the Pentagon, is just that, a story. This story is not the truth, but far from it.

Top comedian and actress Margaret Cho has joined Willie Nelson and Charlie Sheen in questioning the official 9/11 story, stating that the public were going to become very angry when they realised there was a conspiracy behind the terror attacks.
Appearing on the nationally syndicated Alex Jones Show, Cho said her doubts about 9/11 were sparked by President Bush’s non-reaction to the unfolding crisis.
I got concerned right after 9/11 where the plane had hit the World Trade Center and he was in that classroom with all those children and they told him what was going on and he did nothing.
We were attacked for the first time on American soil and he did nothing - that’s when I realized there was something very very wrong.
Cho questioned the official story of what happened at the Pentagon, asking why so much footage of the twin towers being attacked was available in comparison with not even a clear picture of what occurred at the Pentagon - a far more sensitive and symbolic target.
Why are they not focusing on that? What are they hiding? Of course it’s going to be monitored from every angle at every second and yet we have no footage of it - it’s very mysterious.
Cho said that there was usually a conspiracy behind every major event in American history and that when the conspiracy behind 9/11 was fully uncovered, people were going to be very angry.
The actress said that many of her Arab-American friends doubted the organisational skills of Al-Qaeda in being able to pull off the terror attacks and questioned the plausibility of the passengers on the plane not fighting back against the hijackers.

We lost, as you know, 2,977 lives, countless dreams, and a sense of security that we thought was unshakable. Yet, even today, as you’ve heard in the last 24 hours, the full truth of 9/11 remains out of reach.
And I have to ask, why? Why is that? What is it that they’re keeping from us?

And by the way, thank you for joining us here in Washington to remember, reflect, and demand answers on this very somber 24th anniversary. I also want to remind you that long before 9/11, al-Qaeda had declared war on America. … Long before 9/11, al-Qaeda had declared war on America. Their attacks grew bolder, and the warnings were clear. In 1993, a bomb shook the World Trade Center, killing six and injuring thousands. In 1996, 19 airmen died in the Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia. In 1998, our embassies in Kenya and Tanzania were attacked, claiming another 224 lives. In 2017, 17 sailors perished when the USS Cole was bombed in Yemen. God, that is so aggravating. So it makes you so angry.
And then when the 9/11 Commission investigated, listen to this. They never mentioned Able Danger. Not once.
Then there’s our good friend Sandy Berger, former National Security Advisor. In 2003, as he prepared to testify before the commission, he was caught stealing and destroying the classified 9/11 documents from the National Archives. I ask you this question. What truths were lost in those pages? What else remains hidden?
For 24 years, for 24 long years, the U.S. government has withheld thousands of pages of evidence, information that could answer lingering questions about what happened and why.
Now, I have long maintained that on 9/11, we were not defeated by Al-Qaeda alone. We were defeated by our own government’s failures, bureaucratic infighting, misjudgments, and a refusal to face hard truths.
But today, we must act. The families of the victims, the heroes, and you, the American people, deserve answers. We must demand an independent presidential commission on 9/11. One free from politics and conflicts to uncover the full truth, hold those responsible accountable, and ensure our nation is never again left vulnerable.
And I was encouraged yesterday by Ron Johnson. I like what he said. He said, you know, you guys need to work collectively, work with a plan together, so that we can conduct these hearings and make sense to the American people. That makes all the sense in the world. So that encouraged me.
So let me just say this too: This is just not about the past. It’s about securing our future. Let us honor the 2,977 lives lost, and the many more in the wars that resulted. The heroes who run towards danger, and the families still seeking answers by demanding this commission. And we should not let down. Together, it is my solemn prayer that we can uncover the truth, rebuild trust, and ensure that this tragedy is never repeated. For them, for us, for our future. Let’s act now. Thank you.
